Weekend of July 28 & 29, 2012

Honestly I don't even want to write about Saturday because I am so excited to write about my wicked Wicked experience today (Sunday!)  Saturday was a chill family day.  We did a little shopping at First Village in Asan, put Gman down for a nap, when he woke up we went to baskin robbins and got the kids a ice cream cone.  Then we went to the movies too see Ice Age Continental Drift.  It was Greysons first movie and he did great.  He wanted to sit on Brandon most of the movie.  It was a great movie and then enjoyed an amazing dinner Brandon grilled out.  He really has become quite the grill master the past couple months!  He has Adam Perry Langs book BBQ25 that he loves!  Here is his website: http://www.thekitchn.com/get-out-your-grills-117444
We ended our evening watching Unstoppable with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine, it is a couple years old but for some reason we never got around to watching it.  We both thought it was a good movie.  Just as the movie was about to end we heard little zombie feet (thats what Olivia's feet sound like when she scuffs her way into our room) as she crawled into daddy's pillow I leaned in to give her a kiss and ask her what she was doing in our bed when I realized she was hot!  Crap.  G felt great all day with no fever and then Liv got sick.  She had a fever of 102, we got her some medicine and put her back in bed and we both laid in her room for a little while.  She made me do "round and round the cornfield, round and round we go.."  for about 20 minutes and then I sang Daddy's song a few times and she finally said goodnight and rolled on her side.  That is my cue to leave and go to bed while I can!

Sunday was AMAZING!  Well...for me at least.  Megan & Jen bought me a ticket for Wicked for doing photo sessions of their girls.  Unfortunately Jen wasn't able to go.  We left in the morning and traffic to Seoul was perfect and we had a little over a hour before the show started.  We went for a hot and humid walk down the street and found a cute little bistro that we had a quick bite to eat at.  We made it back to the theater with a few minutes to spare and had a hard time finding our seats since our tickets were in Hangul.

I can't even begin to describe the show because no words can do justice.  The cast was amazing and their voices were so magical that it brought tears to my eyes and chills through my body.  If you have the opportunity to see the show, go!  It was my first Broadway show and will not be my last!  I want to go see it again...a few times lol!  Of course we couldn't take video or take pictures but this was my favorite part of the show (I found it on youtube)

After a walk around Itaewon we ate dinner at a Thai restaurant and had mango and sticky rice for dessert!!! My absolute favorite Thai dessert!

After a fun drive home I got home to my three loves.  I am so happy I was able to see them for a little while before bedtime!

This is what I got when I asked for smiles from my silly kiddos!!  :D

7-26-2012

We started yesterday morning off with story time at the library.  In between stories the kids sing songs and dance and after the last story we do a craft pertaining to one of the stories we read.  Olivia does great at the craft time...Greyson just wants to play with glue sticks :) After lunch we went to the kids swim lessons.  Greyson usually gets cold after 20-25 minutes in the pool so he sits and waits in the lounge chair until Olivia is all done.  She still won't go all the way underwater but she is getting more confident in the water and is getting better at using her arms and legs at the same time.
Today is our 4 year anniversary!  I can't believe it!  Brandon works nights tonight so he will have to wait until he gets home late/early tomorrow morning to get his anniversary gift.  I got him a bunch of random things but I know he will love all of it; a pair of adidas classic shoes, a kids spoon and fork set with a carrying pouch (he can't use chopsticks so this will be very helpful lol), a few sticks of burts bees chapstick (he is addicted to that stuff), a powered protein shaker cup (for all of those protein drinks he has), eletrolyte and energy packets (thought he could use them for the triathalon coming up or for long bike rides), and a sweet card with a little love note inside...and a couple weeks ago I surprised him with a dinner at an amazing Korean soup restaurant and got a baby sitter for the kids so we could take our time. ---Happy anniversary to the love of my life---
Greyson woke up sick today :(  he has had a fever all day and won't eat anything.  He has done nothing but sleep and watch disney movies all day.  I hope he wakes up feeling better in the morning.
My dad is on his way to Arizona right now to drop off my brothers children.  I have been praying for those three beautiful children for so long.  --Thank you God for answering my prayers--  They have been through so much and need a new start in Arizona.  I hope everything works out for them.
One more thing-Olivia starts pre-school on Sept 5!!!   She will be going MWF from 8:30-11:30  I am not sure how I am going to make that work.  Olivia and I are not morning people and she doesn't wake up until 8!  Looks like we are going to have to go to bed earlier.  Love you all--M

Tuesday July 24, 2012

So far this week has been great!  Yesterday Liv & G started swimming lessons.  I was nervous because I have to be in the water with them and I wasn't sure I could juggle both of them for 45 minutes in the water.  Greyson didn't last the whole 45 minutes, he was too cold (he is a big chicken when it comes to being cold) but I couldn't get Liv out of the water!  My arms are sore today from holding them afloat and catching them a million times as they took turns jumping off the side of the pool into the water.  After that we went and played basketball.  When I say 'play basketball' I mean the kids run around, throw basketballs, dive on the rock climbing mats and go up and down the bleachers....while I shoot hoops and pretend I am good.  We had a little time before Greyson's 2 year well baby check-up so we drove to the mail room and got a box of goodies and toys for G from Grandma & Grandpa Lee!  Thank you so much!  Greyson's appointment went great, he does great at the doctor and he was making everyone laugh of course.  He is as healthy as a little boy can be >>weight=28.2 lbs 53% and height=35.4" 77%<<

Today was a chill day.  I cleaned the house, got all the laundry done, and mopped all the floors (which always takes forever!)  After Greyson's 4 hour nap we went to Splish n' Splash with Megan, Karlyn, Jen, McKenna, and Addi.  The kids loved the pool and water slides of course, G is still a little scared but he is getting better.  I love having the water park only 5 minutes away from my house.  Greyson told me "les go home" once he had enough water play time.  I ran to get the mail quick while I was on post and had a HUGE box from Grandma and Grandpa Lee for Greyson for his birthday. (Thanks again!!!)  He was so excited that he was shaking trying to open his new little people barnyard and radio flyer scooter!  I was surprised when he hopped on the scooter and just started going around the kitchen, Liv couldn't wait for a turn and kicked him off so I opened the barnyard toy.  They played for hours with the barnyard, I had to put it on the kitchen table to make them eat their dinner.  Olivia claimed that the horse that came with it is her horse!  After our nightly ritual of bath time, milk, brush teeth, story time, and prayers I was overcome with joy as I was about to shut Greyson's bedroom door and he yelled "MOMMY" ---I walk over to his crib and he throws his arms up to me---"Huggins mommy"--Then he gave me the tightest hug and said "love you mommy"!  I couldn't help but shed a tear.  It is all these little moments with my munchkins that matter the most.  Tomorrow we are off to story time playgroup in the morning at the library on post and then we also have swim lessons in the afternoon again.  -Love-Michelle

So this is my first blog post.  I have no idea if I am even doing this right but I figured having a blog would be a lot of fun to look back on and for family and friends to check out what we are doing since we are so far away.  Enjoy!
