8-15 to 8-18-12

The past few days have just flown by for me!  I made my FAV dinner this week...I just love love love chicken spaghetti!  Here is a link:

I was really naughty this week...I made homemade strawberry rhubarb pie and let me tell you it tastes amazing!!  The kids only eat the strawberries out of it :)

My Diva:

Liv and B having lunch together!

The sky turned a beautiful pinkish purple color for about 2 minutes, it was beautiful!

Tired Brandon & pant-less silly Olivia working on her letters

So I got home from my run the other morning and Brandon asked how my run was...I looked at him bummed out and told him how I was disappointed in myself for running an 11 minute mile pace.  Of course he tells me that I will do better tomorrow.  A few minutes go by and I walk over to him and say... "look at all these pictures I took this morning on my run, the sky was so pretty"  He looks at me and does his puzzled head tilt and asks me if I was still disappointed in my run time...lol!  This is one of the pictures I took.

My little dinosaur!

We took a trip to little bear since it has been raining a lot the past few days.  Went up there with a small group of other moms from Humphreys and met a few super nice moms with kids the same age as Liv & G

Olivia and Brandon, getting the spices ready for the pork tenderloin Brandon is going to grill out from bible study tomorrow afternoon.

Here is my Gman...just being silly.

What in the world??...

So...I always hear "Michelle, we would like to see pictures of you too..." So I took that upon myself to take a few elegant pictures of Olivia and myself.

I hope you enjoyed those as much as Olivia and I did taking them!  Anyways We had
two birthday parties today.  Here's Olivia with her friend McKenna at her 3rd Bday party!

Then it was our friend Christophers 1st birthday party.  This is Gman playing with the older boys in what they called the man cave and girls were not allowed...but I was able to get a picture quick before getting kicked out ;)

Last week

The rest of last week just flew right by!  We didn't do anything crazy, just the norm.  Our friend Drew from Rucker gave us this recipe that he would always make for get togethers because he knew that Olivia and I both loved it!
Liv loved putting the marshmallows in the pan but hated that we had to wait an hour after putting the jello mixture in the fridge to eat some.  The Jello roll-ups turned out good!

Olivia picked out what she wanted to wear for the first day of school and it finally came in the mail, she had to try it on asap!!

My friend Donna came over and showed me how to use my tiny sewing machine.  (I didn't even know what a bobbin was)  So that afternoon I decided to try to make a skirt for Olivia with some fabric I had on hand from a different project and this is how it turned out.
Goofball Livie!

We bought a new shelf from Emart (Kinda like a korean walmart) for the kids playroom.  I love it, it makes picking up so much easier and organized!
We went out to lunch with Brandon one day!  I just love when we get to have lunch together...it doesn't happen often!

Olivia started the next level of swim lessons, she is loving it and has improved so much in the past month!
Doing her kicks :)

We found out on Friday that Brandon got chosen for the fixed wing course!  We are still in shock!  We will be heading back to Fort Rucker for 3 months in about a year.  Here is a list of the places we can get stationed with fixed wing:

We had a cookout on Saturday to celebrate and Brandon make the best grilled pork tenderloin ever!  It was so much fun.  I just love the friends we have here!

We ended our weekend with some good workouts in the morning and a wonderful bible study that afternoon.

Also---We have been hearing mixed things about the Preschool program here, we are going to go to the orientation next week and if we are not thrilled I will be homeschooling Olivia until we get stationed wherever we are going.  If you want to check out the program we will be doing if we go the homeschool route this is the link:  http://www.aophomeschooling.com/    We think it would be better this way because next year we will be stationed at humphreys (then visiting everyone in the states for about a month or so), then rucker, then huachuca (maybe), and then wherever they are stationing us all within less than 6 months.  Then we can get both kids in school when we get moved in.  Who knows, I will let you know what's going on when we know more!

August 6th & 7th 2012

On Monday we didn't do much! Ran to get the mail, went to the library to get some horsey and dinosaur books, and I had to get a new ID card since Brandon's rank changed (a while ago)!

Liv with her library book bag from Grandma!  (and gman trying to get a book off the shelf in the background) lol! That evening after dinner we went to the water park for a couple hours and had a blast!

Today (7th) We watched Izzy for the day since her mom had to drive up to the airport. We made small impression stones (made with salt, flour, and water) that the kids drew faces on and after they baked for a few hours and cooled off they had fun painting what they created! The girls made banana bread and just loved making and eating it! They played hard all day, play-doh, looking for buried treasure, learning letters at "school", going to work, having picnic and tea parties...love watching them play! Olivia could barely keep her eyes open at dinner and she fell asleep on the couch at 7. Now it's time for Brandon and I to watch some Breaking Bad and then go to sleep, I am tired!! Good night!

Aug 5, 2012

On Sunday we had an extra little munchkin all day long, so you know what that means...extra FUN!  Megan and her hubby went up to Seoul and went to go see Wicked so we had Karlyn for a while.  All 3 kids had so much fun!
She had to bring some of her littlest pet shops in the pool!

We had dinner ready when they came to pick up Karlyn and we also had Kila over for dinner since we have missed him so much and he just got back from his visit in the states.  Of course the grill master made some great chicken...it was so nice to have friends over for dinner.

Aug 4, 2012 Gmans Party

Saturday was a busy day, getting ready for our little mans bday bash!  Everything turned out great!  It was a very hot afternoon and extremely humid.

I figured that since it is so hot that everyone would be drinking a lot and we only have one cooler here.  So I filled the kids little pool up with 100 lbs of ice and put all of the water, juice boxes, gatorade..ect in there and it was a huge hit!  That pool constantly had at least one kids hand in there playing with all of the ice.
Grilling out hot dogs and burgers

opening gifts...

He freaked out when he opened this present, he kept yelling "RRAAWWWRRRRR" he has been sleeping with his dinosaurs everynight!  He received some fun gifts; coloring sets, a leapfrog leapster games set, dinosaurs, balls, shoes, remote control car, a car and ramp building set, a huge bag of rice (he loves rice lol), a bunch of cars, and a cars carrying case...and he got a bike from Brandon and I but we gave him that on his actual birthday.  Overall it was a great party with AMAZING friends!  Greyson had a blast!

Week of 7/30 to 8/3

This week we stayed in the house most of the week.  We kept passing this stupid cold around to each other it has not been fun! :(  On a good note, we are all feeling much better.  We all just have a little bit of a cough.  Today was a good busy day, I woke up and went to the gym with a friend that I go to women's bible study with and we ran a few miles on the treadmill.  Then I had to get ready for Greyson's mustache birthday bash tomorrow!  I made a few big signs with a 2, GMAN, and a giant mustache painted on them...Brandon is going to use his dremel to cut them out in the morning.  Yesterday I made some homemade sugar cookies in the shape of mustaches and homemade frosting (I am not happy with the frosting, I couldn't get it black...it ended up a gray color). I made homemade vanilla cupcakes and my fav swiss meringue butter cream frosting today with little mustaches on the top.

I finished up getting the veggie tray ready and made sure all the decorations and goody bags (actually they are goody cups filled with candy) are ready to take to the park tomorrow.
These little --I hope you had a FAN{tache}Tic time at my 2nd Birthday Party--will be attached to the little cups below.  I love all of the little mustaches I added to the cups, it just cracks me up!

While I did all this Greyson was napping...Brandon was napping...and Liv was napping with her horse.
hahaha!!  She sure loves her horses!!  I got so much done while everyone was sleeping, it amazes me what I can accomplish without any interruptions.  We had a fun evening, with Brandon the Grill Master making some amazing chicken! (yes...he is wearing my apron! lol)
I asked Gman to smile for me...this is what I got! LOL!!

The night ended with some Popsicles on the porch, bathtime for the kiddos and before we knew it, it was past there bed time!  We had such a good day, so blessed to have all that we do...and especially blessed that we are together as a family.  I think that us being sent here was a blessing in disguise because everyone that we know from Rucker was/is currently/or is about to get deployed.  We will be finding out any day about Brandon's application for the fixed wing packet he submitted.  Today marks our 1 year in Korea, it really has flown by.  I know we will enjoy our last year here...then we are USA BOUND! :)

Weekend of July 28 & 29, 2012

Honestly I don't even want to write about Saturday because I am so excited to write about my wicked Wicked experience today (Sunday!)  Saturday was a chill family day.  We did a little shopping at First Village in Asan, put Gman down for a nap, when he woke up we went to baskin robbins and got the kids a ice cream cone.  Then we went to the movies too see Ice Age Continental Drift.  It was Greysons first movie and he did great.  He wanted to sit on Brandon most of the movie.  It was a great movie and then enjoyed an amazing dinner Brandon grilled out.  He really has become quite the grill master the past couple months!  He has Adam Perry Langs book BBQ25 that he loves!  Here is his website: http://www.thekitchn.com/get-out-your-grills-117444
We ended our evening watching Unstoppable with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine, it is a couple years old but for some reason we never got around to watching it.  We both thought it was a good movie.  Just as the movie was about to end we heard little zombie feet (thats what Olivia's feet sound like when she scuffs her way into our room) as she crawled into daddy's pillow I leaned in to give her a kiss and ask her what she was doing in our bed when I realized she was hot!  Crap.  G felt great all day with no fever and then Liv got sick.  She had a fever of 102, we got her some medicine and put her back in bed and we both laid in her room for a little while.  She made me do "round and round the cornfield, round and round we go.."  for about 20 minutes and then I sang Daddy's song a few times and she finally said goodnight and rolled on her side.  That is my cue to leave and go to bed while I can!

Sunday was AMAZING!  Well...for me at least.  Megan & Jen bought me a ticket for Wicked for doing photo sessions of their girls.  Unfortunately Jen wasn't able to go.  We left in the morning and traffic to Seoul was perfect and we had a little over a hour before the show started.  We went for a hot and humid walk down the street and found a cute little bistro that we had a quick bite to eat at.  We made it back to the theater with a few minutes to spare and had a hard time finding our seats since our tickets were in Hangul.

I can't even begin to describe the show because no words can do justice.  The cast was amazing and their voices were so magical that it brought tears to my eyes and chills through my body.  If you have the opportunity to see the show, go!  It was my first Broadway show and will not be my last!  I want to go see it again...a few times lol!  Of course we couldn't take video or take pictures but this was my favorite part of the show (I found it on youtube)

After a walk around Itaewon we ate dinner at a Thai restaurant and had mango and sticky rice for dessert!!! My absolute favorite Thai dessert!

After a fun drive home I got home to my three loves.  I am so happy I was able to see them for a little while before bedtime!

This is what I got when I asked for smiles from my silly kiddos!!  :D
